2. Open Terminal
3. Type

No way, i have a registered Trial-version and almost all applications are downloading extra's when you start them up for the first time.

Btw think there's almost no difference between trial and the so called full version.
Acrobat Pro 9 you will find as a seperate torrent if you know how to search.

Sorry, that's just not true.

Per http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/trial/faq/:

"Adobe Acrobat® 9 Pro is not available as a trial for Mac OS. Adobe Encore® CS5 software is not available as a trial. Encore CS5 will be installed as part of the trial for Creative Suite 5 Production Premium and Master Collection but will not be available for use until you purchase. The trial versions of Adobe After Effects® CS5, Adobe Premiere® Pro CS5, and Soundbooth® CS5 software do not include some features that depend on software licensed from parties other than Adobe. For example, some codecs for encoding MPEG formats are available only with the full version of these products."

-Trial doesn't include Adobe Acrobat, which is part of Master Collection.
-Features left out of Soundbooth, Premiere, and After Effects in the trial. From what I understand, these features are provided as downloads when you buy the full version from Adobe.

However, someone mentioned on another torrent for Master Collection (http://thepiratebay.ee/torrent/5524722/Adobe_Creative_Suite_5_Master_Collection_MAC_OSX-HOTiSO), that if, for example, you start a Premiere project it will download the missing features automatically as needed. I have not tried this personally so I don't know if it works. I am not even sure you could download the stuff if you are blocking Master Collection from "calling home."

Just download the trial version, insert a serial and run the patch in terminal. According to Adobe, they are the same program. That is what I did on my PC and the DL was only 45 minutes.

Thanks for the great torrents. CS5 64 bit applications are so fast! I thought it would be useful to post step by step instructions (in following posts). You will notice that I recommend to "turn off Airport" during installation and to run "sudo dscacheutil -flushcache" after updating the /etc/hosts file. I'm not sure if these steps are necessary but I recommend to do so anyway. Also notice the link to Acrobat 9 Pro at the bottom of the post:

REMOVE OLD ADOBE INSTALLATIONS (IF APPLICABLE) BEFORE INSTALLING ADOBE CS5
Remove the following Adobe applications and files before installing the Adobe CS5 Master Collection:

INSTALLATION OF ADOBE CS5
Disconnect from network/internet (Turn AirPort Off). Double click "Adobe CS5 Master Collection.dmg" to install the Adobe CS5 Master Collection. Whilst installing CS5, ensure that you choose "Install this product as a trial" and DO NOT enter any serials. If you've already installed CS5 applications using a serial, load any of the installed CS5 applications and select Help > Deactivate. Quit all of the installed CS5 applications.

TERMINAL
Launch a Terminal window (in /Applications/Utilities) and copy and paste:
sudo /Applications/TextEdit.app/Contents/MacOS/TextEdit /etc/hosts

Hit return and type your admin password.
The "hosts" file should automatically open in TextEdit.

TEXTEDIT
If the following lines are already part of the "hosts" file close it and continue with the "Finish" section. If not hit return (in the opened "hosts" file) and copy and paste following lines:

I just wanted to add a few extra notes. In my first post (above) I show which applications, folders and files to remove to start with a clean system. A few notes:
1) / is the system root folder (which you can find in Finder by clicking on the hard drive icon at devices)

2) ~ is the User folder (which you can find in finder by clicking on the home icon at places)

3) I strongly recommend to delete the "/Library/Application Support/FLEXnet Publisher" folder if you have old Adobe applications installed. Keeping an old version of this folder can cause a variety of licensing errors. It will automatically be regenerated with the CS5 installation.

4) Obviously, if you're attached to your old Adobe application preferences, don't delete the preferences files in the system and User libraries. There is no harm in doing so, they'll be automatically regenerated but by deleting them you will loose your user preferences. I prefer to start with a clean system but that may not be the case for everybody.

5) Acrobat: If you follow the "removal list" in my first post you will also get rid of Adobe Acrobat. You can get the latest version from Demonoid (on the Demonoid website search for "Acrobat Pro 9.0 + 9.1 Update + SN").

With respect to your download speed claim, the number of seeders keeps growing for a popular torrent like CS5 so it will download at maximum speed that your bandwidth allows within a few days. But feel free to download the package at any location at your convenience.

Just a heads up. I downloaded just the script blocker from another torrent on here which took about 15 seconds and then downloaded the entire master collection trial pack from adobe.com. Much easier and at a decent speed (150+ kbps). Just throwing that out there in case seeding sucks on this torrent (which it did for me initially).

@Jammeke With all respect, you're mixing things up. ALL Adobe installation packages (also the ones you download from Adobe website) are full Trial/Retail versions. It's the same. However, Adobe sells a variety of packages from a single Photoshop package, to an ultimate collection with all products. This Master Collection excludes Acrobat but the included CS5 applications are all full versions. See my posts above for more details.

@ciara10 Yes, you can indeed just keep Acrobat 9 if you have it installed already. Otherwise, just download the package from the Demonoid website (search for "Acrobat Pro 9.0 + 9.1 Update + SN"). Read my "REMOVE..." post above if you run into licensing troubles. To avoid that I prefer to clean up my Mac first and then install CS5 and (re)install Acrobat 9.

However, I strongly recommend to at least delete the "/Library/Application Support/FLEXnet Publisher" and "/Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher" folders and re-enter the relevant serial upon opening an Adobe application. By keeping your old FLEXnet Publisher folders you may run into licensing errors.

Hi, Can someone please help. I've downloaded and installed CS5 Master Collection using these instructions (works fine). I've downloaded the Acrobat 9 package from Demonoid and followed the instructions, but when I go to open the installed Acrobat it asks for my admin password which I enter, a window then pops up saying "Licensing for this product has stopped working". This is before I have chance to enter any serial.

@macbid I do assume that you have the Adobe server list blocked (see my earlier posts on the previous for details).

To fix your Acrobat problem:
- Delete the "/Library/Application Support/FLEXnet Publisher" and "/Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher" folders.
- / is the system root folder (which you can find in Finder by clicking on the hard drive icon at devices)
- ~ is the User folder (which you can find in Finder by clicking on the home icon at places)
- Open the Acrobat or CS5 (or older CS4) application and re-enter the relevant serials for these products, respectively since the FLEXnet Publisher holds the licensing info.

See the my series of earlier posts on the previous pages for instructions on how to remove and reinstall all Adobe installations if you still have trouble.

Thanks for the upload and the instructions. Everything almost works fine, I already had the Adobe servers blocked through the Terminal from CS4 so the install was smooth.

However, AfterEffects and Premiere CS5 won't start up if I have Little Snitch running. I have rules in Little Snitch to block the Adobe servers (again) as a pre-caution; the Adobe servers are the only rules set up to block. There was no problem with CS4, but it seems CS5 software that involve video (Adobe QT32 Server?) won't do it.

Is there some way to run AE and Premiere, and still be able to keep Little Snitch up?

After installing again, acrobat now works (and the other CS5 master collection applications). I must have overlooked something the first time. All seems fine now, ran the activation blocker script and so on. Thanks again for help.

@Ethnod Since it's a 5.62 GB torrent it won't fit on a single layer DVD (4.7GB) and you would need a double layer DVD (8.5 GB) providing that your burner can burn double layered DVD's. If so just burn the downloaded folder containing as such to the double layer DVD, copy the folder from DVD to the Mac and install by double clicking the dmg from the Mac hard drive. Much easier would be to get an 8 or 16 GB USB stick. I recently bought a 16 GB KINGSTON USB stick for $25 on Newegg. Also keep in mind that you'll Mac uses a different file system. It can read Window's FAT32 but FAT32 does not allow files larger than 4 GB, that would be a problem. Google for answers on a solution for that. My 2 cents.

Good day Mac users. As a printer I wanted to tell you to try PC too I had not touched Mac for 10 years until I have became a printer. Now I get the best benefit of adobe suits. Some works better in PC and some Mac. If you are a Mac user yes it will take you a while to get use to PC but you can do it. They are cheaper and much more powerful than Mac so far unless Apple works harder on their hardware compatibility. Anyhow I am here to also tell you that is does work just follow the writen instruction you will be okay. I will help this uploader to see as much as I can too.

@pepush No offense, but today we have something called "Google". It finds a good answer for almost any question. Try to Google "adobe 9 pro mac torrent" and the top link is actually from the piratebay. Their are many alternative torrent sites (e.g. btjunkie) and again Google is your friend for finding them.

After installing Acrobat 9 run Adobe Acrobat > Help > Check for Updates? multiple times until Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro is up to date (version 9.3.2 at the date of this post).

Don't know if I'd do the .../help/updates. If Adobe sniffs out one of these serial numbers...they will disable ALL of your adobe applications immediately. This happened to me with CS4. I've installed CS5 over my old CS4 and didn't even had to activate via terminal on my MAC. This because I allready did the same last time when installing CS4

@jimmyk79 I don't think you get how it works. Adobe already has these serials blacklisted regardless of updates. That's why you should block the server list (in /etc/hosts) to prevent communication with these servers. Updating your Adobe CS5 & Acrobat applications won't make a difference. It was the same for CS4. If you had problems then you did it wrong. See my posts on page 2 for details and a tutorial, also on how to fix problematic Adobe installations. I personally don't use little snitch since it's not neededand as a matter of fact, if you use both the server blocker and little snitch conflicts could occur.

You don't have to remove old installations. However, If you have problems with opening any of the installed Adobe applications I recommend to delete the "/Library/Application Support/FLEXnet Publisher" and "/Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher" folders and re-enter the relevant serials (CS5, CS4 & Adobe) upon opening an Adobe application. By keeping your old FLEXnet Publisher folders you may run into licensing errors.

It seems to work fine but AE keeps trying to load plugin every time then ask you to quite. Asks for the password every time and it wont use dynamic link for footage, just photos.

I installed it fresh on a brand new machine with no adobe on it and just used the blocker as i read in the other posts... Anyone else finding issues or am i retarded and missed something?

I have successfully installed the CS5 with no probs, but for the Acrobat reader i keep running into the same message "this program was part of a suit" run other apps in the suit to complete the install which i did and the acrobat just quits? Please help

@lambos2k A few things, the free Acrobat Reader is not the same as Acrobat pro. If you have trouble with any of the installed Adobe applications my recommendation is to remove all traces of all installed Adobe software and install CS5 and Acrobat again. See the re-post by st16121 above for instructions.

To get Acrobat 9 pro (not included in the CS5 torrent) Google "Acrobat 9 pro mac torrent" and the top link is actually from The Piratebay. There are many alternative torrent sites (e.g. btjunkie) and again Google is your friend for finding them.

After installing Acrobat 9 run Adobe Acrobat > Help > Check for Updates? multiple times until Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro is up to date (version 9.3.2 at the date of this post).

i've been using it for several years, i work as a designer for a living. all previous versiouns of photoshop rendered font spacing nicely, without any letters getting stuck upon each other, however default settings seems to be messed up in my verison of photoshop cs5 .. i just went back to cs4 again cause of this, and now my font spacing is fine! i'm wondering if anyone got a solution to it or if cs5 is simply fucked up by default

Well, I have adobe CS3 on my system and I didn't want to delete it. I followed instructions for install (Block Adobe Activation v2) didn't seem to do anything, not sure if it worked in the background. All I get now is repeated calls for a new password!!??
/Library/Application Support/ - there is no folder in my system folder.
Also now the serials aren't accepted on startup.
I tried deactivating permanently, still doesn't work. Any ideas guys?

okay so i installed adobe cs5 as a trial from the adobe website and followed all the instructions but when i run these programs:

Adobe Onlocation CS5
Adobe Soundbooth CS5
Adobe After Effects CS5
Adobe Encore CS5

i am asked to "install additional file formats and effects that are not included in the trial version" but when i do the install never completes but asks me to restart the program to use the installed content. This just keeps happening in a loop, the file formats and effects never install!

Can someone please tell me if i've done something wrong or if you are having the same problem, any help is appreciated thanks =D

I am however experiencing another problem. When i try to update Bridge and Flash, the updates won't install instead i get a message saying that i need to relaunch the application to update the file path that has been changed, but when i do this still the same message appears. Any ideas?

I'm having a problem! I downloaded it and followed the directions and everything worked fine. But every few times I open the program, it keeps asking for a serial number! I've tried all the ones on the list and some won't work and then others will. But then the next time I open the program it says the serial # is invalid and it wants me to type one in again. HELP!!!

the trial version of after effects works with 10.6. but as far as I can tell it is not possible to get after effects out of trial version with a serial. the major difference between trial and full is that you cannot export anything in MPEG format in trial, only .swf. that sort of debilitates the program for me and others I would imagine. any suggestions for exporting quicktime or mpeg or upgrading to FULL?

Hi lozzer_cozzer, your only problem is that, you're using a fat32 format on your usb drives, and this format supports 4 GB max, so, you need to reformat your usb drive to NTSC,.. note, in mac, you won't be able to write, but read. C ya, Hope this helps.

The problem is the hd and flash memory stick, its because its a fat 32 and for security reasons apple and windows dont let you transfer anything thats higher than 4 gb, i recomend downloading it again in the mac or formating the disks to a ntsc format. you can reformat it to fat 32 after if you want
